This Privacy Policy explains how Canvas Forge ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information in connection with canvasforge.com and our Services (AI generation, mockups, custom production, and third-party fulfillment). We don’t sell your personal data.

1. Data We Collect
- Account Data: name, email, password hash, shipping addresses, order history, saved designs.
- Payment Data: processed by our payment provider (e.g., Stripe). We store tokens/status, not full card numbers.
- Content Data: prompts, uploads (for signed-in users), generated images, mockups, metadata (timestamps, device basics).
- Preview Mode (no sign-in): we log prompts, generated thumbnails, and basic device/IP metadata to prevent abuse and improve quality.We may retain this preview data indefinitely for security, analytics, and product improvement, until deleted as part of periodic maintenance.
- Usage & Device Data: cookies, analytics via PostHog (usage events, session replays), IP address, device/browser info, referral/UTM, and events (page views, clicks, generation events, product interactions).
- Communications: emails or messages you send us (support, claims, legal notices).
2. How We Use Data
- Operate and secure the Services; generate images and mockups; process and ship orders; customer support.
- Prevent fraud/abuse; rate-limit previews; detect policy violations; maintain and improve service quality.
- Product analytics and improvement, including model safety tuning and UX enhancements.
- Legal compliance (tax, accounting, IP enforcement, court orders).
- With consent, marketing communications and optional showcases of your finished designs.
3. Sharing
- Service Providers: payment, manufacturing/fulfillment, shipping, cloud hosting, analytics, and AI tools — strictly to operate the Services.
- Legal: to comply with law, protect rights/safety, and respond to lawful requests.
- With Your Consent: public showcasing of your finished designs (opt-in only) or other uses you authorize.
4. Retention
- Preview generations (no account): retained indefinitely for abuse prevention, analytics, and product improvement, and deleted or de-identified during periodic maintenance. You may email us at support@canvasforge.com to request deletion of specific preview records associated with your device or IP; we’ll take reasonable steps to verify and fulfill.
- Account & Orders: retained as needed for operations, support, and legal/accounting obligations.
- We may retain limited security logs for fraud and abuse prevention.
5. Cookies, Tracking & Analytics
We use necessary cookies and analytics tools to understand how users interact with our service and improve your experience.
Product Analytics (PostHog)
We use PostHog, a privacy-friendly analytics platform, to track user behavior and optimize our product.
- What we collect: Usage events (page views, button clicks, features used), account information (email, name, credits balance), device/browser information, and IP address for approximate location.
- How we use it: Improve product features and user experience, understand conversion and retention patterns, debug technical issues via session replay, and analyze product performance.
- Third-party service: PostHog Inc. (GDPR & CCPA compliant). Data is stored in the United States. See PostHog’s privacy policy at posthog.com/privacy.
- Your choices: You can opt out by enabling Do Not Track in your browser settings, or contact us at support@canvasforge.com to request analytics opt-out or data deletion.
We use browser localStorage (not cookies) for PostHog analytics. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. If this changes, we will update this Policy and site consent UI.
6. Your Choices & Rights
- Access, update, or delete account data by contacting support@canvasforge.com.
- Opt out of marketing emails via the footer link.
- Opt-in/opt-out of public showcasing of your finished designs at checkout or in your account settings.
- Request deletion of preview records associated with your device/IP as described above.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to our size and the nature of data processed. No system is 100% secure. If we learn of a security incident affecting your data, we will notify you when required by law.
8. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child provided data, contact us to request deletion.
9. International Users
We process data in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. By using the Services, you consent to such transfers, which may have different data-protection rules than your country.
10. Data Deletion and Retention
When you delete or archive content (including prompts, previews, or designs), we remove it from your account view immediately. However, copies may remain in our backup systems or archives for a limited period of time, or as required for legal, compliance, or security purposes. Archived copies are not used for any other purpose and are permanently deleted once backup cycles expire. If you would like us to remove specific preview records associated with your device/IP sooner, contact us at support@canvasforge.com.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. We will post changes here and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes apply prospectively.
